Specimen Type/Requirements
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum
Serum separator or gel barrier tubes
are not acceptable. Preferred
collection time is a trough level just prior to the next scheduled
dose. Separate/remove serum from cells within 2 hours of
collection.
Test is affected by hemolysis and lipemia.
