Specimen Type/Requirements
24 Hour Urine Container - Urine aliquot that is well mixed and measured (preferred)
24 Hour Urine Container is also acceptable
Refrigerate during collection, no preservative, record total volume, mix well before aliquoting. If more than on urine container is collected, use proportional quantities from each well mixed container for the aliquot.
Indicate that specimen is a 12 hour collection.
Test may be affected by gross hemolysis, gross icterus and gross lipemia.
