Green Cap Para-Pak EcoFix - Stool (Refer to Stool Collection Patient Instruction link below): Stool must be added to EcoFix within one hour of collection.
Check stool consistency (formed, loose, soft or watery) box on container.

Additional Information
Ova and Parasite Comprehensive Exam screens for Isospora but it is only reported if identified.
Cryptosporidia is not included. Order test code NBLD0221 (Cryptosporidia/Cyclospora Smear).
The Green Cap Para-Pak EcoFix used for O&P is not acceptable for Giardia lamblia antigen.
The recommended test for suspected parasite infections is Cryptosporidium/Giardia Rapid Assay (NBLD0418).
O&P Comprehensive Exam should only be ordered on patients that meet the following criteria:
1. Recent travel to a developing country
2. Resident of a developing country
3. Undiagnosed eosinophilia
4. Previous test(s) for parasites are negative but symptoms persist
