Specimen Type/Requirements

White Top (ESwab in 1 mL Liquid Aimes Medium) tube - Nasal

 

Red Top (Double Swab Culturette) - Nasal

Insert both swabs into nostril about 1-2 cm and rotate 5 times while applying pressure on the outside of the nose. Using the same swabs, repeat for the second nostril.
