Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Body Fluid
Sterile or Nonsterile Container - Body Fluid
Specimen should be centrifuged and aliquoted within 2 hours of collection. Indicate type of body fluid on specimen and order.
Acceptable body fluid types: Pericardial, Peritoneal/Ascites, Pleural, Dialysate, Vitreous
Test may be affected by gross hemolysis, gross icterus and gross lipemia.
