Specimen should not be left unprotected from light >8 hours.  

Specimen should be protected from light if testing is delayed more than 8 hours

Indicate source on specimen and order.

Test may be affected by gross hemolysis, gross icterus and gross lipemia.

Sources Pericardial, Peritoneal dialysis fluid, Bile, Cyst (ovarian left and right), Cyst (pancreatic), Cyst (pilonidal), Cyst (other), and Cyst will be tested at Mayo.
