Use KOH Prep code NBLD0299 for sources of Bronchial Washing, Sputum, Vaginal, Tongue, Mouth, Throat, Esophagus

Indicate source on specimen and order.

Swabs are not acceptable specimens for the KOH-Skin, Hair, Nails order. There is not an adequate amount of sample released from the fibers of the swab for a good quality slide to test. The sample will be rejected.
