Sterile or Nonsterile Specimen Container - Body Fluid
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Body Fluid
Acceptable Body Fluids: Pericardial, Peritoneal/Ascites, Pleural
Specimen should be centrifuged and separated within 2 hours of collection.
Test may be affected by gross hemolysis, gross icterus and gross lipemia.
Indicate type of body fluid on specimen and order.
