Light Green top (Lithium Heparin w/gel) tube - Plasma
 

 

Serum/plasma should be removed from gel separator or cells within 8 hours.

 

Test is affected by gross hemolysis and gross lipemia.

Additional Information

This test code is to be used in conjunction with the Dexamethasone Suppression Test.

 

Drugs causing falsely elevated results include: Corticosterone, 11-deoxycorticosterone, Fludrocortisone, Prednisolone, and Hydrocortisone (pharmaceutical cortisol).
