Specimen Type/Requirements
Lavender top (EDTA) tube - Plasma (preferred)
Gold top (Serum w/ gel) tube - Serum
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum
Separate plasma/serum from cells within 1 hour of collection.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing of specimen.
This test requires it's own frozen aliquot.
Test is not affected by hemolysis or lipemia.
