Lavender top (EDTA) tube - Plasma
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum
Specimen should be centrifuged and separated within 2 hours of collection.
Note: PTH cannot be an add-on test due to no room temperature stability.
Test may be affected by gross hemolysis, gross icterus and gross lipemia.
