Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum (preferred)
Light Green top (Lithium Heparin w/gel) tube - Plasma
Specimen should be protected from light. Serum or plasma should be separated from cells within 1 hour of collection.
Test is affected by hemolysis and lipemia.
