Blue top (Sodium Citrate) tube - Whole Blood (Stable 4 hours Room Temperature or Refrigerated)

 

Do not store in a frost-free freezer.

 

The 3.2% Sodium Citrate tube must be filled to appropriate volume to acquire the 9:1 blood to anticoagulant ratio that is critical for valid results.

 

Test is affected by hemolysis.  Test is not affected by lipemia.

 Frozen     14 days     Preferred for transport   

Plasma must be tested within 4 hours or freeze a platelet poor aliquot.
