Gold top (Serum w/gel) tube - Serum
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum
Fill tube completely during collection. Aliquot tube must be at least half full to prevent pCO2 loss and minimize exposure to air. Do not transport specimens in the presence of dry ice. Gold top (gel separator tube) is stable 5 days refrigerated if centrifuged and unopened.
Test is affected by hemolysis. Test is not affected by lipemia.
