Sioux Falls:
Light Green top (Lithium Heparin w/gel) tube - Plasma (preferred)
Gold top (Serum w/gel) tube - Serum
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum
Rapid City:
Light Green top (Lithium Heparin w/gel) tube - Plasma
Do not interchange specimen types on same patient when monitoring intervals.
Test is affected by moderate hemolysis and gross lipemia.
