Gold top (Serum w/gel) tube - Serum (preferred)
Red top (Serum w/out gel) tube - Serum (preferred)
Light Green top (Lithium Heparin w/gel) tube - Plasma
Serum/plasma should be separated from cells within 2 hours of collection.
Sodium Heparin Plasma is not acceptable.
Test is affected by gross hemolysis and gross lipemia.
